The most family-friendly ski area in Austria offers skiing fun on 46 kilometers of slopes and 10 cable cars and lifts. Perfectly groomed slopes, a fantastic panorama and great huts to stop off at guarantee an unforgettable winter vacation.
The Lofer ski area is easy to reach from the Grubhof vacation apartment with the free ski bus. The ski bus stops right next door and you can safely store your ski equipment in the ski cellar.
Opening hours & offers
The ski area will open for the winter season with weekend operations on 7/8 and 14/15 December 2024 if there is sufficient snow.
Daily ski operation (main season) starts from 20 December 2024 to 23 March 2025.
From 3-day ski passes, children and young people (born up to 2006) travel FREE when accompanied by an adult during the savings weeks from 15 March to 23 March 2025!
Covid-19 – Current rules
There are currently no access restrictions in force and 3G proof is no longer required to use the cable cars. Masks are also no longer compulsory in the entire ski area.

Offers for children
There is a 140 m long covered conveyor belt for little skiers, where they can learn their first turns in a playful way. Two 8-seater chairlifts are child-safe, where they can get on and off comfortably and are secured during the ride.
The playground right next to the conveyor belt is also open in winter!
Freestylers can let off steam in the “Lofi Funline”, which is located right next to the “Family Express Lift”. The “Lofi Funline” is a separate track with hills, rails and obstacles.
Ski school
The Herbst ski school in Lofer is our partner for ski courses and private lessons. A hand-picked team of mostly local professionals, excellent knowledge of the local conditions and a good dose of alpine charm are at your side for ski and snowboard courses.

Piste touring – Ski touring
The ski area can also be easily reached on touring skis. There are specially marked ascent routes for this purpose. Use is subject to a charge!
Summer – hiking on the Loferer Alm
The Almenwelt Lofer is always worth a visit for hikes in summer too. There are numerous circular hiking trails and longer tours on the gentle alpine meadows.
